• একটি Paragraph-এ কয়েক ধরণের Sentence থাকে।
- সেই Sentence গুলোর নির্দিষ্ট কিছু Function থাকে।
- Topic Sentence introduces the main idea.
- Paragraph এর main idea এর Topic Sentence এর মধ্যে থাকে।
- সাধারণত Topic Sentence Paragraph এর প্রথমে বসলেও, এর ব্যতিক্রমও হতে পারে, অর্থাৎ কয়েক বাক্য পরেও Topic Sentence বসতে পারে।

অন্যদিকে,
- Supporting Sentences develop the key point.
- Concluding Sentence marks the end of paragraph. It also summarizes the key point.
