• If যুক্ত Clause টি past indifinite tense এর হলে -
- If + ১ম clause এর Sub + মূল verb
- এরপর ২য় clause এর Sub + would/ could/ might + verb এর base form
• If the weather was not so bad, We would go to the park.
- এ বাক্যে if যুক্ত clause টি past indifinite tense এ দেয়া আছে।
- একারণে ২য় clause এর Sub এর পর would/ could/ might বসবে।
- পরবর্তীতে verb এর base form বসবে।

• এমন আরোও কিছু উদাহরণ লক্ষ্য করি -
- If they wanted, We would help them.
- If he did not speak so quickly, You could understand him.
